This balloon Spider is just crawling with creepiness! It can be helium-filled for deliveries and decor, or air-filled and suspended from the ceiling.

Ingredients: Helium (Optional): About 10 cu. ft. 1 - 3' (91cm) Onyx Black Latex Balloon 43981 1 - 16" (41cm) Onyx Black Latex Balloon 43858 2 - 5" (13cm) Mandarin Orange Latex Balloons 43569 2 - 5" Onyx Black Latex Balloons 43548 8 - 260Q Onyx Black Latex Balloons 43937 Qualatex® BalloonRibbon™ Qualatex Hand Air Inflator Electric Air Inflator (Optional) Monofilament Line Cool Glue Balloon Adhesive Tab Weight (Optional)

Preparation:

1. Inflate the 16" Onyx Black balloon to 15" (38cm) for the head and the 3' Onyx Black balloon to 2 1/2' (76cm) for the body. Tie them together.
2. For a helium-filled Spider, attach a balloon adhesive tab to the bottom of the 3' balloon, tie to monofilament line, and secure to a weight.
For an air-filled Spider, attach a balloon adhesive tab to the top of the 3' balloon and suspend the Spider with monofilament line.
3. Inflate all but 1/2" (1.3cm) of the 260Q balloons, tie them in duplets, and twist together to create an eight-balloon cluster.
4. Make pinch twists to create the knees and feet on each leg. To begin, make a 1" (2.5cm) bubble where you want the knee or foot to begin. To make a 1" bubble, pinch the balloon and twist it several times. Move an inch further and make another twist, making sure to twist in the same direction both times. Loop your index finger under the bubble. Grasp the sides of the bubble with your thumb and third finger, and stretch it up until you can pinch its ends together. Remove your index finger, and twist the pinched bubble at least three times in one direction to secure.
5. Twist the legs into the knot between the head and body.
6. Make the eyes using the "button" method: Air inflate a 5" Mandarin Orange balloon to 3 1/2" (9cm) and a 5" Onyx Black balloon to 2" (5cm), and tie in a duplet. Push both knots through the Mandarin Orange balloon to the opposite side, grasp them through the balloon, and twist to secure. Tie a small piece of BalloonRibbon to the "twist" for extra security. Cool glue the eye to the front of the 16" balloon. Repeat for the second eye.
